Default A New Item Attribute Charms

Allow a character to carry these is their baggage. They occupy space and do not stack, add to the attributes but only for a profession. Only usable in PvE. This is just an idea and not thought out fully so please add in your thoughts and comments.

Hell no. This reminds me of Diablo2 days. We already have people complaining about not enough space in their inventory, and I do not want something else adding to that. I really don't want this game turning into a 3D diablo2...

You havent actually explained in the slightest, what these charms are? A bit (actually alot) more explanation would help here.

Your idea basically sounds like, allowing a player to carry a 3rd focus item, Something they carry in their baggage, but it still effects their attributes.

1) Something cant effect your attributes unless your holding it.
2) We only have 2 hands.
3) Major inbalance.

We just dont need it. There are countless ways to buff up your attributes already, including...

1) Weapons stats.
2) Focus items.
3) Shrines.
4) Cupcakes, candycanes and similar foods.
5) Runes.

We dont need another one. At the minute, if you want to buff up a certain aspect of your profession, you have to choose which part to focus on.

I.e does an elemental focus more on fire, water, earth or air?

You choose by putting skill points in certain elementas, you choose by using certain weapons and focus items which effect a certain element, you choose by using runes to effect certain elements (usually only using one supriour to boost one more then the rest).

If we used your "charm" and we were able to carry multiple types which effected multiple aspects like fire, water, earth and air, instead of just one.

Then we create an extremely over-powered character who is able to buff all the aspects of his profession.

But its more the fact that we already have lots of ways to increase buffs and attributes.

No thank you.

Adding new items would certainly make the game much less balanced than it is now. There is simply no reason to add any more possible attribute levels than there are at the moment. Why have everyone but a new item to get their stats up to 20 when everyone could just stay on the possible 16 like it is now?

The only use I find for something like that would be:
*A possible gold sink
* Making PvE normal-mode easier

Both of the above in my opinion is not needed and can be achieved in other ways that take much less time on behalf of ANet and players who have to actually purchase whatever is developed.

Not in GW, it would be to much work to implement and balance such a thing.
And aren't the insignia's some sort of charm?

GW2? maybe yes, in the form of rings, pendants, circlets etc.

As I said I have just put this in to provoke thought, the game has enough diversity as it is but this is an ideas forum. Maybe GW2. I guess I will also provoke flames, but this is not my intent.

When adding something to a game, you must think of something that is not in the game and would be useful.

Not just think in what you like in one game and just pretend to copy it to the other.

Diablo 2 was a 1..99 leveler game, with a lot of inventory slots and almost unlimited properties on weapons.
Is just plain senseless to add such idea to Guild Wars.
